Isaac holds a Bachelor of Laws and Justice at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). He graduated with First Class Honours in Law and with Distinction in Justice. Isaac completed his Practical Legal Training (PLT) at the College of Law and was admitted to legal profession in June 2024.

Isaac’s career started in the justice sector in 2019 and he then transitioned into the legal sector in 2021. Isaac previously worked as a Paralegal for LawRight and then as a Migration Assistant for Visa Assist Australia.

At LawRight, Isaac assisted with various civil matters within the jurisdiction of the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT), including:

  • Reviews of administrative (government) decisions
  • Guardianship and administration;
  • Anti-discrimination;
  • Right to information and privacy;
  • Appeals and reopenings;
  • Residential tenancy; and
  • Minor debt matters.

In his role at Visa Assist Australia, Isaac assisted with drafting visa applications, submissions in support of review applications at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) and submissions in support of complex requests for Ministerial Intervention.

Isaac is now a member of Vocare Law’s Not-for-Profit & Charity Law team, but also assists with the firm’s other practice areas. He is passionate about methodically and comprehensively analysing the law to deliver a high quality of service for his clients. Isaac employs clear communication, to ensure he is in a position to understand his client’s unique position and circumstances. He utilises these instructions to identify novel and sound solutions for clients and adopts a ‘step-by-step’ approach, advising on each stage of the legal process.

Isaac is academically minded and also works as a sessional academic & research assistant for QUT (outside of work hours). He is currently co-authoring a journal article for publication, discussing the European Court of Human Rights current interpretation of air pollution’s ability to impact the right to life (under article 2 of the Convention).

Outside of work, Isaac enjoys spending time with friends & family, and having an active lifestyle through hiking, running and surfing.
