Beyond our borders

PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS

Beyond our borders

This page captures our work as ministry beyond our borders. Our team experience in reaching, growing and encouraging beyond our borders, can only be described as a blessing.

Three lawyers Discussing

Mission and alignment

Our team believe in the call on their lives to serve those we have been entrusted with. Outside the client-lawyer context, this takes form of in supporting colleagues, networks and relationships  outside of Australia. Our team has been fortunate to play an active role in the building of a platform from inception to a global network, as well as coming alongside existing not-for-profits and associations supporting their cause as it aligns with our purpose and mission.

In 2016, we were given an opportunity to be part of a “growth team” that helped create and develop Kingdom International Legal Network (KILN).

KILN is a network focused on deep and abiding spiritual friendships for mutual encouragement in the journey of Christian faith as legal professionals. These relationships may result in mentoring, resource sharing and lawyer exchange programs.

Through KILN, we were able to participate in the pilot Lawyer Exchange and Development (LEAD) program where we have sent 2 lawyers on exchange with Shekinah Law in Suva, Fiji. These exchanges are unique in that there is no tangible financial benefit.  The exchange is counter-cultural in that sacrifice is often required. However, character growth, maturity and an opportunity for broader ministry results from sent and received lawyers (and their firms) showing that the experience is one money can’t buy.

KILN hosts conferences biennially. We have been fortunate to play a significant role in the network:

Our staff have previously volunteered on missions trip as well as attend fundraising dinners for this worthy cause that raises awareness regarding modern day slavery.

KILN

This grassroot cause is about ending illiteracy in Africa and PNG, one container-full-of-books at a time. Coming along side colleges to support this cause was a fun event for our team as we believe in every child has a right to education.
